2025: a year full of opportunities

As we step into 2025, it’s a perfect moment to reflect on an incredible year for Flanders Technology & Innovation and look ahead to what’s next.

2024: Our first full year

For FTI, 2024 marked the first full year of our journey. It’s been a year of milestones, growth, and bold steps toward building a foundation for data innovation and collaboration in Flanders and beyond. Here are some of the highlights that defined our year:

• Strategy approved: A clear roadmap to drive FTI’s mission: cultivating a thriving community of Forward Thinkers (FTI Alliance) where data, knowledge, and innovative ideas easily circulate - fueling bold collaborations that shape the future and drive our society forward. 
  
  
• Successful Festivals: The ‘Ten Days of Tech’ festivals, spread over locations in Flanders, attracted 177,500 visitors exploring cutting-edge technology.
  
  
• Elli launched: Our first use case is live, showcasing the power of data to improve well-being. Rolling out the Elli Scan annually will allow organizations to track progress and evaluate the impact of the well-being programs on employee and organizational energy levels.
  
  
• Welcomed the first members to the FTI Alliance: This is a community of Forward Thinkers who are actively participating in data collaborations that shape the future.
  
  
• Press recognition and event presence: We made headlines, raising awareness about our mission while mobilizing people to unlock data and be part of data collaborations via our ‘Race the Champ’ challenge and events like the FTI Business Night.

Each of these achievements represents more than just progress—they’re proof of the incredible momentum we’re building together.

Looking Ahead to 2025

The journey continues with ambitious goals for 2025. At FTI, we’re focused on:

• Deepening partnerships: Strengthening collaboration with our existing partners and welcoming new ones.
  
  
• Building our community: Expanding the FTI Alliance, which lies at the heart of everything we do.
  
  
• Expanding our reach: Aiming to launch a new vertical alongside Health.
  
  
• Innovating further: Introducing our data catalogue & platform to drive data-sharing opportunities. Imagine the European Kaggle 😉.
  
  
• Encouraging bold ideas: Among other initiatives, hosting a pitching arena to spotlight innovative solutions. More updates to come!

These priorities will ensure that 2025 is a year of meaningful impact, growth, and data collaboration.
